Where the hardware comes from
Perth is an office suburb. Central Park, QV1, Brookfield Place, the run of towers along St Georges Terrace — those tenancies replace their computer fleets every few years, and what comes out is three or four years old, well specified, and has spent its whole life on a desk in an air-conditioned room.
Ex-corporate hardware is the good stuff in this trade for a reason. Business machines are specified to run all day for several years and built so that parts can be swapped rather than the whole unit binned. That is the opposite of a cheap consumer computer, which is built to a price and designed to be replaced.
So the machines going onto your desks are the same class of machine that was on somebody else's, a few floors up.
Why offices buy refurbished
The budget stretches further
You can fit out every desk properly rather than half of them well and half of them badly. The difference usually goes into the monitors, which is where staff actually notice.
Matching beats fast
Identical machines across a floor mean one image, one set of spares and one thing for everyone to learn. A mixed bag of faster machines is harder to run. We will tell you honestly whether we can match the numbers you need from current stock, because sometimes it takes a couple of weeks to get them together.
It is easier to replace one
When a machine dies in an office running matched refurbished hardware, swapping it is routine rather than a project.
Nothing is locked in
If you want us looking after the machines afterwards, that is available with no lock-in contracts.
What we do to every machine
Each one goes across the bench before it goes to you.
Opened, cleaned out and checked over. Worn or failing parts replaced. The drive wiped properly and the operating system installed fresh — which matters twice over on ex-corporate hardware, and it is the standard we apply to the machines you hand us as well.
Storage brought up to an SSD where it is not already, because that single change does more for how a machine feels than anything else. Memory increased where it is tight for the work.
Then it is tested as a complete machine. 90 days warranty on every one, and the same 90 days on hardware repairs and any part we fit. What the warranty covers
How we quote it
Tell us how many desks, what the people on them do, and what the budget is. That is enough.

You get a firm quote within 24 hours — a real price to take to whoever signs it, not a range that moves later. Nothing starts until it is agreed. Most jobs are finished in two to three days, and if a larger set of matching machines changes that timing, we will say so before you commit rather than afterwards.
Desktops, laptops, or both
If the work happens at the desk, small form factor desktops with decent monitors are better value and easier to live with. If people move about or hot-desk, laptops with docks make more sense. Plenty of offices run both, and there is no reason not to.
In the city itself the shape of the office often decides it. Perth is dense, floorplates are tight, and a small desktop behind a monitor takes less room than a tower under every desk. Desktops and all-in-ones
The machines you are replacing
They do not have to go in a storeroom. Old office machines can come in as a trade-in against what you are buying, and we will look at them and give you a figure.
Every drive is wiped properly before a machine leaves us. If there is anything on them that still matters, tell us before they leave your office rather than after. Device trade-in
Before you replace a floor of machines
If the computers are only a few years old and the complaint is that they have got slow, a round of SSD and memory upgrades usually costs a fraction of replacing them and makes more difference than people expect. We will say so if that is what we think, even though it is the smaller job. SSD and memory upgrades
